DREAM TEAMS:
Use what you’re gifted at to help make a DREAM of a difference! Join a dream team!
Care Team
Join us in caring for individual patient families while at camp, as well as before and after; Continuing writing notes of encouragement to families as they continue treatment after camp. Help making and delivering Hopeboxes to our families throughout the year.
Time commitment: typically 1 hour every other week
Need: 5-7 volunteers
Where: Offsite; via emails, text, calls as instructed. On occasion, in person.
Prayer Team
Join us in praying for the health and journey of the individual patients we serve at camp as they go through chemo and/or other treatments before and after camp. Also pray for the parents and their marriages, as well as the siblings and their unique journey as well.
Time commitment: typically 1-2 hours once a month
Need: 4-5 volunteers
Where: Offsite; via emails, text, calls as instructed.
Guest Family Recruitment Team
Help find and invite Guest Families undergoing treatment to spend a week with us at camp —such as sharing who we are and what we do, connecting with friends and families, social workers, hospitals who work directly with families facing pediatric cancer and helping them apply for camp and seeing if they would qualify for our program.
Time commitment: typically 1-2 hours every other week
Need: 2-3

Volunteer Management Team
Help manage our camp volunteers - such as reviewing volunteer applications, volunteer communications, and/or making sure they have all the information they need about serving at camp during the weeks leading up to their camp. Also help coordinate schedules of arrival and travel to and from camp, help run group chats and the information sent out during time of camp, and ensure everyone follows safety and confidentiality guidelines during camp. This will also involve individual prayer and care for our volunteers.
Time commitment: typically 1-2 hours per week

Volunteer Recruitment Team
Help recruit and find volunteers —such as sharing who we are and what we do, finding others who long to serve and care for families facing pediatric cancer, and helping them sign up for camp.
Time commitment: typically 1-2 hours every other week

Outreach Team
Share our mission and vision with local communities such as friends and families, churches, and/or any other organizations that would be interested in supporting and promoting our mission at Blue Skies; In addition, help others host dream nights as another way to organize and gather local communities to hear about what we do at Blue Skies.
Time commitment: typically 1-2 hours per month
Need: 3-4 volunteers

Tech Team
Help with programming in Salesforce, database support; website management/building
Time commitment: 1-3 hours per month
Need: 1-2 volunteers
Where: Via email, text, calls to and with our team.
Fundraising Team
Finding businesses and individuals to sponsor and help raise support for our ministry; Create fundraising events in your local area; housing sponsorships for anyone wanting to find individuals to donate a beach home for our beach camps.
Time commitment: 1-3 hours per month

Creative/Program Team
Lead worship, run sound, lead games/activities during a Blue Skies beach or mountain camp. Help create and brainstorm new ways we can make camp the most FUN it can be!
Time commitment: typically 3-4 hours during a week of camp; 2 hours for weekend camp.
Need: 1-2 per camp
Where: In person; during beach or mountain camping; programming needs are typically in the mornings and/or for our nightly events.

Administration Team
Assists with basic administrative duties, including but not limited to data entry, mailings, filing, and labeling/sorting.
