SERVE WITH US!

We are looking for volunteers to share the love of Jesus Christ, who are willing to serve and put others first. Volunteers should be in good health physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are so thankful for your commitment to share the love of Jesus with families battling pediatric cancer. Camp is not possible without you and we want to sincerely thank you for just applying. It means the world to us.

What to Know

We are so excited you are interested in serving alongside us in 2023! Here is a list of helpful things to know as you apply.

  • Cost is $1799/adult, $199/student.

  • We ask all volunteers to join us in bringing awareness to Blue Skies by forwarding their fundraising page to their friends, family, church, businesses, etc.  (Blue Skies will create a shareable page for each volunteer family.) Approved applicants will receive their funding information on January 9, 2023. Funding received in 2022 will be applied towards 2022 expenses and not towards 2023 funding ๐Ÿ™‚

  • All spring and summer camps will be held at WindMark Beach in Port St. Joe, Florida.

  • New in 2023, all volunteers and guests will stay in houses (rather than condos) located in the WindMark community. All houses have fully equipped kitchens along with washers/dryers. Each volunteer family will have their own bedroom/bathroom and will share a house with other volunteer families. Children will need to bring air mattresses/cots and bedding.

  • New in 2023, at spring and summer camps, volunteers arrive the day before the guests for training, to connect as a team, and to prepare for camp.

  • New in 2023, we are hosting a camp over fall break in Orange Beach, Alabama. This camp is 5 nights for guests/volunteers. Accommodations are hotel rooms at a beachfront resort called The Lodge. You can check out this property here.

Because our highest commitment is to the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of our Blue Skies community, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 and will take all precautions necessary to provide the healthiest experience for our campers and volunteers. This may include, but is not limited to, requiring vaccinations, records of a negative test 72 hours before the start of camp, and requiring face coverings per CDC guidelines. For 2022 camps, we are asking all camp participants to have a negative rapid or PCR 72 hours before the start of camp and not to participate if they are feeling unwell. We hope you will be flexible as you partner with us to provide the safest environment we can. If you do not want to follow these precautions, Blue Skies may not be the fit for you and thatโ€™s okay!
