St. Simons Island, GA
The King & Prince Resort
Sunday, June 15 - Wednesday, June 18, 2025
Southern charm, southern hospitality and Blue Skies above!
St. Simons Island is the largest barrier of the Golden Isles and lies across the immortalized Marshes of Glynn, made famous by poet Sidney Lanier. Moss-draped oaks line the winding island streets, creating a picture-perfect image worthy of a Faulkner tale. The island’s villages offer a charming and unique selection of shops, outdoor fun and breathtaking beaches.
The King and Prince is an historic oceanfront resort on St. Simons island that includes a hotel and condos along with beautiful oceanfront pools and hot tubs. It is a perfect place for families to reconnect and enjoy a real vacation!
amazing venues
We’ll celebrate camp with our Red, White and Blue Skies parade to Village Creek Landing! In the heart of St. Simons Island Village Creek Landing is an amazing venue overlooking the tranquil marshes with breathtaking sunsets. Other fun spots we will enjoy on St. Simons Island include Neptune Water Park and the Village Center.

WHAT TO EXPECT
You can expect lots of smiles and excitement! Our team of volunteers will be ready to greet you with open arms! When you arrive, pull up to the front of the resort and a Blue Skies team member will direct you on the check-in process.
We’ll grab a quick picture of your family, meet everyone, and introduce you to your Family Host Team. Throughout the retreat, your Family Hosts will greet you at activities and will be available to answer questions, point you in the right direction, and help you have an amazing week with your family!
Each day begins with fun and togetherness! We start our day with Good Morning Blue Skies - a time to meet new friends, and share in Blue Skies fun, and Chapel. Afterward, parents gather to get to know each other and share their journeys while the kids play together with the volunteers! We will have picnic lunches on the beach. Afternoons are spent lounging at the beach and pool - and there’s plenty of time for naps or sightseeing, too, if you like. Dinner will be held at exciting venues around the island. After dinner, get ready for lots of laughs and fun family time at our evening activities! One night, we will have a Red, White, and Blue Skies parade. (You may want to throw in something red, white, and blue to wear that night.) After a day full of sunshine, laughter, and Blue Skies, you can crawl into your comfy bed and get ready for another best day ever!
We ask every guest family to attend our welcome dinner and participate in our first Kindred Journeys session. We encourage guest families to participate in all camp activities, but, take from this week what your family needs and participate in what you choose.
meals
We will offer continental grab-and-go breakfasts, picnic lunches on the beach, and dinner at fun venues around the island. Snacks, bottled water, juice boxes, and canned sodas will be available at the beach.
housing
Guest families will be staying at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort in hotel rooms.
travel
We wish we could blink you down to camp, but each family must provide their own transportation. If you need to fly, the closest airport to St. Simons Island is the Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK). The airport is less than 20 miles and takes about 25 minutes to get to The King and Prince Resort. You will need a car at camp to go to get around to our evening activities and any sightseeing you may want to do.
